Bit of smoke near headlights UPDATE 6/5/2014

This is a funny one to me but someone may of had this before.

I pulled up at my brothers after a 60 mile motorway trip, switch engine off and the headlights are still on (in delay mode) and I see a bit of smoke passing the headlights. Strange I thought, maybe bit of water drying out?

Anyway returned home and it did it again on the drive, popped bonnet but didn't get a cloud of smoke or anything really, checked all fluid levels apart from oil as it was hot.

I'm not talking loads of smoke just a second or so.

Maybe exhaust smokes blowing under car? Looked in engine bay and could see anything apart from a big v8...

Ideas??!

The FBH won't be running after a 60 mile run. I have seen steam from the front tyres on a cold damp day as the tyres' warmth dries it off slightly. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Have I even got a fuel burner heater thing a bob?

How would I know? How do I turn it on?

I've seen all the threads over my time hear about them and the smoke etc but I didn't/don't know if I had one, I thought there might be a button to activate it or somat?

I hope I'm coming across like a total newbie Thumbs Up

It comes on automatically when temperature drops below certain point - around 5-7 deg I think from experience Confused

Some have timer like mine to set it in advance and some have remote Bow down

Censored sake! Don't I look like a total newbie now, smoke from drivers headlight!

It's threw me out as I thought they all had the option to timer the fbh hence me thinking I didn't have one I take it they come as standard on all sports?

Yeah think I had a buzzing noise from drivers side when I popped bonnet too. (Thought that was the egr's self cleaning)

RRSTDV8 - correct near side Embarassed

FBH is silver box with pipe something like this -

But buzzing and smoke under drivers side light seems normal as both mine have done it when outside temp is low Confused Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Well that's a load off my mind, I'll put the sale of my kidney on hold for a bit longer now.
