Can someone give me any info regarding the amount of adjustment on the air suspension (2012 model) using one of the lowering modules like the GAP unit. Is it right that if you go lower by more than 15mm or something then the suspension throws a wobbly.

I have a LLAMs system fitted and drive around with the cars system set to on road height and LLAMs set -20mm. Drives fine no issues at all.

At -20, can you engage access height without the car bouncing back to extended setting?

Hi Gordon,

I rarely have a need to go to Access height but most of the time it will go down without issue. Sometimes I do get the raising to extended message BUT the car does not actually rise and the extended message goes away straight away and the access height symbol on the message centre stays.

My thoughts are that when parked on level ground there are no issues but if not onlevel ground the sensors are outside a little and start the raising process but then everything balances and it remains at access.

Same here.

I used to have the extended message all the time with -20 and access, now it seems like I'm not getting it anymore(do not use often the combination.)

Probably a bit of off roading solved the problem  '08 RRS TDV8
I converted my diesel RRS to run on an environmentally friendly mixture of caribou fat and baby seals oil

Usually the extended suspension message only comes in if you lower more than 25mm (on flat ground)

(The car is basically hitting the bump stops and thinking it's hit the ground) RRS gone

That's not as good as the full fat then.

I found that the full fat could be plugged in (forget what the machine was called) the values changed and no problems.

We changed the value to the lowest possible, drive it so it adjusted and when I got back it was very very low. Drove with no faults etc. I think the sports suspension is quite hard to start anyway.

Can the sport be plugged in and the values changed or do you have to buy a unit?

It only errors if you select "access mode".. In normal you can lower it to -50mm which would be very bumpy but would work fine...  RRS gone

Hmmm not sure I'd pay for a unit to do it then if then when I park and put it into access mode it throws a fault code up.

As I indicated above I run mine at -20mm (is just a flick of a switch to change from onroad height to -20mm, or +30mm or +50mm) and the ride is the same as at onroad height, no change in tyre wear, no need to do a wheel alignment.
