I could understand this if I had the remote pre heater, but mine is just the standard one that helps the engine to warm up quicker once started. Surely the heater isn't looking for voltage until the engine starts at which point the alternator is supplying power so it should be able to start? If not does any one know what the minimum voltage the heater is looking for before it kicks in? I have no problems starting the car or any of the normal low battery signs TDV8 now with extra grin factor thanks to Alive Tunning: Gone but not forgotten |

Just found THIS guide on the D3 site and it suggests anything below 10.25v will stop it but also it goes into lockout after three failed starts.

So this morning I pulled out fuse 28 and left it out for about 20 mins to ensure car had gone to sleep.

Well I have just read all 24 pages of THIS thread on Disco3. Based on that thread I have just ordered the parts off ebay to make up the Webasto diagnostic lead to hopefully clear the lock myself. Total spend £11 so if it doesn't clear its not a huge gamble

The Webasto software with the right cable works really really well! You shouldn't have a problem running and purging and unlocking it. Quite good fun getting neighbours ready to call the fire brigade with the smoke you'll generate Bodsys Brake Bible
