Ive just had another look through the book - specifically focusing on exlusions of the warranty...nothing.

This isnt a modification (your enabling a fitted Land Rover feature) - and is a feature of the car that land rover set up, you are not making the car do something it wasnt design and set by land rover to do...you arent reprogramming the car, like you would in a remap - which voids the warranty - maybe this is whats confusing the dealer - maybe they think you are remaping the car, they could be thinking enabling the tow electrics or FBH is remaping the car Rolling Eyes Shocked Rolling with laughter

This isnt fitting a none genuine Land Rover part or accessory - your not fitting anything, changing anything etc etc.

There isnt any mention of changing the CCF as a reason to void your warranty - incidentally that would not enable you to do a number of things including tow electrics, lights etc

So all in all - rubbish.

Incidentally i found the bit that excludes using that oil stuff:
Use of supplemental additives and flushing agents for fuel or engine oil (unless specified as part of a Land Rover service requirement). Whistle Mike

I would like to say a big thank you for all that contributed to the thread. It was a great help in the upgrade I now have the climate activated and is working perfectly for the cold weather. I have a spare remote if any one is in need of one. Thanks Garry Thumbs Up

Great stuff Thumbs Up
Out of interest who did you get to do the installation & activation? An indepedent / main stealer / other?
I'm still keen to do this, but my local indi has yet to come back to me, so I'll have to chase him!

Fuel Burning Heater (FBH) - Fitted to all Diesels to speed engine heat-up.

Remote Park Heating - Std on Autobiography Diesel and optional on others. Can activate the FBH before starting the car to heat the interior.

Timed Climate - As per RPH but instead of a remote you set a timer via the Nav screen. Std on 12my.

James Thumbs Up

I have a MY10 Autobiography TDV8, but it doesn't have remote park heating... Sad

I've given up waiting for my most local indi to come back to me, they clearly don't see my enquiry as a priority - which may cost them when it comes to servicing. Rolling Eyes

Trying one further afield tomorrow.

Very frustrating as I'm sure I could buy and install the parts myself, but its all in vain without the auto logic bit! Evil or Very Mad 2016 VW Golf GTD DSG

Now I have a dilemma. I've got a quote to have timed climate and remote park heating added, but its just north of £500 (P&L).

Do I ask them to do the activation bit only, and try and install the bits myself...? Or supply the parts for them to install...?
I know I can save the best part of £100 on the parts according to this thread.

Bomber do it yourself just follow the instructions from forum member JUCOTT01 who did the detailed info on this job. And find an independent to activate the timed climate. PS I have a brand new remote in the bag if you go down the DIY route. Garry

Garry, I have the fbh enable on a week day morning timer, can I enable the remote by way of a DIY job? If so I'd buy your remote immediately, cheers, dave, RRS hse my2012. If you've got it, spend it!

Hi Dave you will have to check to see if you have the remote receiver fitted if so yes the remote will work. If not you will have to purchase the receiver and antenna which just plug in,and you may have to get it activated with autologic if it has not been previously done.Garry
