Higher insurance permium than the V6 Less MPG than the V6 More expensive servicing costs than the V6 An alternator thats not suitable for the V8 often failing Depreciation is worse than the V6, but thats great if you are buying a V8 Plus all of the above comments

Far more people than wanting V8's it would seem Price up a 10 plate V8 then price up a 10 plate V6 see which one has lost the most money |

Showing your naivety again princess..... Its sad but true % depreciation on a TDV8 is much greater than that of a TDV6, TDV8 was the only RRS to drop in price in this months guide (-£1100) where as the 3.0 TDV6 went up in the guide (+£725) and 4.2 Supercharged remained the same. Anyway lets keep this on topic..... This is about what to look out for when buying a 3.6 |

Your comparing the TDV8 to the newer V6 the OP is after an 07-09 plate.... so check the value of a 2.7 TDV6 and then we will have the facts! TBH I don't care about the value as I have had a range of cars etc and I have never cared about depreciation costs.... had an M5 before the TDV8 and the depreciation on that was fooking nuts ... but what the heck we only live once!!! or if we live again I will be a poor fooker LOL |
