Does anybody know if it is possible to repair / replace the locking key barrel that fixes the detachable tow bar?

Yes mate. It's a dealer fix I think. MY11 Autobiography supercharged. Santorini Black. Monaco interior. Rear screens. Privacy.

I think you need to have it unlocked before you can knock the pin out and take off the lock, which you will then need to get from a dealer (£10).

Hi guys, this is my first ever trek onto a forum so please bear with.... I have a 2011 RRS and have just had the 7 pin wiring done for the tow bar and got a second hand detachable tow bar from t'ebay. the one provided red round key wouldn't turn so ordered two replacement keys from replacementkeys.co.uk and the tow bar locked a treat. Now I cannot get it to unlock so I can remove and put in the boot before some scoundrel with the know how helps themselves to it. I suspect the lock itself is not great and have ordered replacement lock from Hatfields LR but need to get it off first and t'ebay seller has offered refund but either way I need to get it off the car again . Anybody advise? Am happy to have private message or phone call - just need help. Thanks in advance, |

I know this will sound obvious, but are you doing it right . To remove the tow bar you will need to have the lock 'unlocked, then pull out the green handle, then turn it towards you I believe.
