If you try to jack off chassis you will probably find must jacks will not go high enough. Jack off the wishbone, there is an indentation which should locate the jack ok.

I use a 3 ton trolley jack, and have substituted the removable cup for a custom made plate (an engineering company turned it up for me for a few pounds), that has a locating peg, that locates in one of the four jacking points on the chassis, so it cannot slip. I have faced the plate with a piece of leather, so it won't scratch the chassis when lifting.

Not sure on the size of the hole/peg but would a large size bolt mounted from the underside of a flat plate do the same jog of locating the jack lifting point. |
