Fuel burning heater, warms the cabin up when the temp drops below 5c which is most of the time here high up in the Derbyshire Dales |

There is FBH on new models but as you say he is confusing this with park heat control, two different things |

First of all snow foamed it twice mainly to have a good play with the gun and dilutions.
Bilberried the wheels
Washed it with Meguirs and my posh new buckets with grit guards
Dried using a large fluffy towel
Waxed the alloys,3 coats.
Finished result
Thought I might as well do both whilst I'd got all the stuff out.
Only downside now is that once the sun came out yesterday I could see how badly scratched it was after the dealer prep so took it back for them to see before I'd washed it,they must have used a bristle brush to wash it,the roof is particulary horrendous, this is what one of the pillars looks like as an example. It's now got to go back to be machine polished to get all the scratches out !!

Just to clarify it was frosty here this morning and temp was -1c FBH is fitted and came on and did blow warm air into the cabin. Also unless I'm imagining it the defrost function came on automatically !

Doing what? Personally contributing? It doesn't get you out of it, it reduces it....... I'm suffering the whole lot at the minute but am looking into a personal contribution via dividend monthly on Chris' recommendation ![]() |

Ronnie, As Jonny has said it doesn't remove it just reduces it,we still have to pay tax on the contribution but it is about 23% so saves 17% on about half of the total so say roughly a saving of 8% which is a considerable saving on a P11D of 55K. I've just worked it out roughly using an on-line tax calculator and on mine it will save me about 1309 or 109/month so in effect nearly pays for the annual insurance cost. Chris well done mate - good seeing you cleaned the car exactly how it says on the tin - are you going to wax it too, to protect it? A rub over of Collys or Dodo Supernatural would leave it looking great - with an occasional rapid detail all that would be needed to keep it clean... |

Also proves a point that dealer prep is indeed awful - so if you're getting a brand new car - don't let them touch it once off the transporter and get a detailer in to clean it - it's the only way. Have not bought brand spanking new for a while, but if I ever did, then thats the way to go |

You could not be using a better wax, good call mate (ok this side of swissvax and 1000 more!) and the detailing spray will help...
