Both the dealer and JLR have assured me once it is sorted out they will discuss compensation for all the hassle and costs incurred but I'm not asking for the reimbursement of the detailing cost as that was my decision, they had already offered to have it machine polished for me and have also since offered to have it completely resprayed or polished again.
Apart from the orange peel which seems fairly standard on black paint,the dodgy glove box lid and the rubber window seals it does look gorgeous for about 3 hours after I've polished it,my neighbours at work think I'm barking mad for spending so much time and effort keeping it clean and shiny. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

For what its worth the seals must touch the glass to be weather proof and, just as important, to cut out wind noise. Has it ever had new glass fitted? or a d amaged door?

It looks absolutely amazing! The black is stunning when it's cleaned properly. Central Scotland is probably too far for him to come - mine could do with a treatment like that. 3.0 SDV6 HSE Dynamic, Corris Grey with contrast Santorini Black Panoramic Roof, lunar interior, privacy glass, upgraded Meridian system, cooled 18 way front seats, heated steering wheel, adaptive xenons, large screen wash bottle.

Seeing the work he did to yours chris(when the photos worked) I have Just been emailing Russell on his services, just ordered the wife's car so if it all goes to plan I am looking at having it protected, possibly by a ceramic coating with gives it a certain amount of scratch resistance for approx 5 years

No I think it's due to the photos been moved on photobucket so the links dont work anymore

He has quoted about £20 travel cost to come to leeds from sheffield which isn't too bad
