I doubt if they do that, as the rest of the car has done whatever mileage it has, but get them to fill in the part in the service book about major component changes, and the mileage that the engine replacement was carried out at. That section is nearly full in mine..........only kidding Laughing RRS TDV8 Buck Blue (no, not now in my dreams). ..........D3 TDclankety clankV6 ............BMW 318i

Well I didn't get it back today either, has been six weeks now but on a positive note the brand new engine is now in and running perfect and am just awaiting the service and mot to be done tomorrow and hopefully get it back tomorrow evening, I did however mention a few little issues that I had with my car and the reason I was booking in for a services all them weeks ago, Twisted Evil
Towbar that I can't remove
Intermittent handbrake light fault
a squealing front brake
and the wheel arch liners on edge seem to be flaring anyone else had that one?
But hopefully this wont delay it's tomorrow completion pick up
Has been a very long 6 weeks without it, but there we go. Big Cry
Hopefully another two years without a fault. Bow down Bow down Bow down Bow down

Well it will require the breaks and other ancillary items checking I should imagine, but who knows, just hoping and it was in for mot anyway so job done may cover most items.
Cheers
Tim
