My 2.7 TDC6 whilst driving home last week decided to die, when i pulled over although it would startt was idling like there was a deisel blockage of some sort, however took into the dealer and they say no faults are registering but are going to check Cam Sensor does anybody have any ides? |

LR left a message that they can't find the problem so are removing more to check camshaft sensor fully is this in line with checking EGR?

Had the same fault on my Discovery 3 TDV6, Faultmate confirmed it was the EGR valves, so I bought some blanking plates had them fitted the car was right as rain after that, and fitting blanking plates was a lot cheaper than the EGR's would have cost. BLACK RRS HST 3.6 MY08 |

Blanks are only possible on a pre 2007 model year! |

Hi, had a call from Guy Salmon today after 3 days looking at my RRS to tell me the engine has gone.

At this moment they cant say just say I must have drove without oil, umm don't think so

Just thinking that but where do you go? Are they all going to stick together or do I use a specialist

Sounds like your timing has slipped ask around try to find an independent LR specialists ask him to give it the once over or pick his brains tell him the symptons and ask your dealer to be a bit more specific of the failure. Good luck
