Comfy velour seats, electric windows (in 1989!!), a whole four forward gears, front brakes that locked at the faintest wisp of moisture on the road - it was a class act!

You mean why I modified it?

Ok back then (1989) I was a young pilot crazy about speed but with little money for a really quick car. Initially I wanted to have a Peugeot 205 1.9 but those days cars in Greece were extremely expensive and banks didn't finance the purchase of a car. So i got my fathers old car (the LADA) and worked with some friends to put a FIAT 131 Supermirafiori engine with the 5 speed gearbox from Fiat 124 coupe. It was a perfect much and worked without problems. It was fast, fun and I learned how to drive a RWD car very fast through the corners. I kept the car for almost two years and then I got in my possession a Toyota Celica.

Nice days when you had the capability to play with carburetors and other mechanical staff. Nowadays it's all down to computers and you need specialists advice to make it faster. 2009 Range Rover Sport 2.7 TDV6 SE, Alaska White, Almond leather, tinted windows, active rear diff, tow pack, HiICE, full spare: gone and already missed

1972 Mini 850 - I was 17 and didn't like the colour (light blue) So hand painted it Black put a red stripe off-set over the roof & bonnet, Painted the wheels Gold Shocked & fitted a walnut dash --- I thought it was sooooo coool Cool My sense of Cool Dudeness was very short lived ....... Until my then & "soon to be Ex" girlfriend said it looked like a box of Black Magic Chocolates Shocked Whistle

That was traded up to a Vauxhall Cavalier GLS that my parents bought me for passing my A levels --- It was BEIGE For F Censored Sake!! Evil or Very Mad Mum was not very chuffed when I turned up one day in a Bright Red Triumph Spitfire MKIV which I had duelly swapped for the Beige mobile Whistle Laughing Now my Spit WAS a cool wee car - It was always breaking down but I didn't care...... I loved that car & would spend my weekends trying to get the damn thing road worthy for the following week Very Happy Can't believe I was stupid enough to sell it for £300 when I got my 1st company car at 19 Thud Big Cry I should have had the foresight to hang on to it and made it a restoration project later in life.... errrrrr.. like maybe now Banging Head Big Cry Rolling Eyes 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

1967 MGB in Tartan Red, new leather interior, new black hood. Unfortunately it had chrome sill covers that were hiding the fact that the sills were rusting, water came through the windscreen and the bulkhead had holes in it Laughing It had a Peko (?) exhaust and driving at night in the summer with the hood down was awesome. It was never very reliable, nearly got me the sack once! But it was a great car and I sold it to an old guy who wanted a project. Porsche Cayenne S Diesel 66 Plate
