2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
Low power mode on radio

These cold mornings I've been running a fair bit with the heated seats and the Prog button for the heating/screen defrosters on until the car is bearably cool inside.
If I turn switch the radio on I get the LOW POWER indication on the radio display and cannot adjust the volume above 16/17. Once the car is warmed up and the heated seats are off the radio volume can be adjusted. Is my battery on the way out (it's only 15 months old) or is it just the very cold weather reducing it's efficiency and the clever electronics reducing the load on it? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I would say battery is most likely culprit. but the alternator might not be charging the battery properly. Only way to find out is to get it checked,

I suspect it's the clever electronics too as it goes away once the load comes off the battery................. K, I wouldn't need a 2nd battery as I would fit a hydraulic winch if I were fitting one! Lighter, smaller, more powerful, works under water unlike the lecky ones, doesn't burn out just when you need it most and doesn't need a 2nd battery and split charge system! Ok so they cost twice as much but you don't need to then pay for all the add-ons to make it work. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

hi guys, do your heated seats not work or go off suddenly, if so it could be one of the sensors on the engine system, when they die or are unplugged they set a default setting to keep the car running. find someone with IDS on try reading the real time outputs and you should find one of the temp. sensor thats reading 40 derees. hope this helps, richh. they all do that!
