From memory, it's a programmable button and each of the keys can be separately programmed, so are you sure you're using the same key each time? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

That kind of worked, the buttons on my upper tailgate must be broken, as I’ve managed to get the Land Rover button to unlock the lower tailgate. I think I remember reading that the upper was a known fault. Not to worry, atleast I know now. Thanks for your help |

I think Ford tailgate buttons fit off eBay (focus?) but you need to use your old connector. (Join wires) |
