This is from workshop manual, if you can decipher any of it and what it means it may help.

What year is the car, the reason for asking is my2010 started with similar fault codes and is currently having its dpf filter removed as it was blocked solid |

It's the same as yours, a 2010 3.0 ltr TDV6. How did you determine that it was the DPF that needed to be replaced? |

The garage did, it was totally blocked solid. Symptoms of the drive was red triangle intermittently for a week and then total loss of power and a high pitch squeak on the last day |

Could be a split boost hose or manifold. Both very common |

Thanks. Are both of these components easily accessible for me to check? Sorry but i'm not that mechanically minded so any pointers as to where both items are located so that I can check them for splits/leaks etc would be appreciated. |

Update - The manifold has a split in it |

Further update - The manifold has been changed but I am still getting the same issues. The garage reckons its one of the EGR valves. They've suggested removing it, giving it a good clean and then re-fitting it to see if that sorts it out. Has anyone had any success with cleaning these as opposed to just replacing them?

Can someone educate me please, I have been led to believe that the 3.0ltr TDV6 has vacuum operated EGR valves that are far less of a problem than the electronically activated ones on the 2.7.

3.0 cannot blank the EGR, as they are needed as part of the DPF regeneration...

What fault codes have returned? |

I've only got a cheapo fault code reader but i've plugged it in and it's come-up with Code P006A which was one of the two codes that I was getting originally. When the garage replaced the manifold, they checked the MAF and said that was ok. Is there anything else that it is likely to be other than the EGR? |
