Looks like could be brake pad wear sensor wire to me.

Brake pad sensor. The lumpy bit should be in the pad. Only fitted one side and diagonally opposite on the rear |

Ive sometimes knocked the rear one off when cleaning the inner barrels on the wheels,,just pushes back onto the pad. Andy.

Mine drop out on its own occasionally, it’s been removed for a few jobs and I think it’s just got worn. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Should be a small spring clip on end of sensor to help retain it in the pad, may have got lost if previously removed.

Was work done by a LR dealership? That'd be why! 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

Just goes to prove a Full Dealer Service History isn't as good as it's cracked up to be, all down to the individual doing the work and his ethics.
