Dash Cam

Hello All,
A little late for the big man to bring on the 25th, but I was wondering if
any of you have a rear camera fitted with tinted glass?

If you do does it still give a clear picture as it does out the front?

Looking at getting a BlackVue DR900S-2Ch fitted, but not sure the rear camera
will be much use through the tint in the rear window..

Thank you for your advice in advance.. ===========================================

image is just like looking out the windows

you can often adjust brightness too, if you have darker than normal tints

Thanks Guys,
The tint is factory so very clear view out, just heard on the grape vine it may impair the camera,
so rather than spend the extra and find it was a waste, I thought I would ask..

Just waiting for the even bigger post Christmas sale to get the very best fitted price.. ===========================================

DR650GW-2CH

Factory tinted windows.Works perfectly.

Hard wired with a blackvue magic box and a piggy back fuse, keeps recording when Parked and doesn't run the battery out.

The closer it is to the glass the less likely it is to pick up glare so should see through even tinited glass

Thank you all for your replies..

I have decided to go for it and will look for the best options
in the new year,

Locally its finding a professional fitter that wont rob me blind
is a little challenging,

There is Halfords
and a company called Blackvue, not 100% sure but I think they are
part of the UK side of the business..

https://www.blackvue.co.uk/index.php/online-shop

Again I will call them in the new year..

Thanks again to all of you for your help.. ===========================================

I think there is a guide on here to show you how to fit one, it's really not that hard at all. Feel free to give me a shout if you decide to fit it yourself.

The rear looks rather fiddly to get an "invisible" installation.

Begs the question, does the camera have to be mounted on the rear window, I hate seeing bits of cable on show.

Also look at Thinkware, they have Speed Camera Warnings built in. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.
