2011 tdv6 won't start trying to crank and dies.

Hi I was driving my 2011 range range sport which at 88k and i went to a drive thru, parked up turned the car off, then pressed the button so I could watch tv, I watched tv for approx 15 mins, went to start the car and it started to shake and tried to crank over but then died back down. I had the aa out and nothing showed up on the computer They recovered it to my house the guy said sounds like the injector. I sent it to an indepenteded rr speacialst they also put it onto a rr computer but think they tried having my pants down saying they not to sure what it is. They after start taking my car a part and will run into maybe a thousand just to figure it out. It's now sat baxk in my garden. I've tried to start it again a few times there is no warning lights on the cash or when I press the accelerator nothing happens. Please help.

Did you get any fault codes from either of the garages? You’ve not given much detail to go on. But seeing as you had the TV on for 15 minutes before it broke down I would be tempted to give the battery a good charge/health check. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

I had my mate come up when it first happened to put jump leads on and still did the same thing, it's like it starts but doesn't get there, ill post a video tomorrow just working away. It missed it service by about 5 thousand miles could the fuel filter have anything to do with it? I've got a sheet with errors ill upload the faults tomorrow when back home. I checked the car right away and the oil was fine if that helps at all. When you say crank shaft is that a serious problem? Would it have shown up on a range rover computer?

If it’s the crank that’s snapped, you’re looking at a new engine which puts you into write off territory. It’s a known issue and DM is pretty spot on with kind of stuff. I really hope it’s not. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

There’s a lot of fault codes there. By comparison when I read mine for the first time I had 8 faults total. They also had times and dates with each fault which help with how relevant they are. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Is it 100 percent the camshaft as the previous person says? Could it be the fuel filter or fuel pump or injector or could that not be it?

Ok I see these faults codes could it be any of these?
P010c-00 mass or volume air flow b circuit low
P0102-00 mass air flow circuit low input
P250a-92 engine oil level sensor
P0195-00 engine oil temp sensor
P0627-13 fuel pump a control circuit open
P00aa-17 intake air temp sensor 1
I see the fuel pump listed here could that be maybe the problem its trying to crank but cant? Just trying to see if it can be anything else before I pay 3k for it to get sorted .

I think it needs the codes clearing and then try and start the car and then monitor new codes. Those codes could have been there for years.

And yes it could quite easily be a crank failure. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Wow, if they are new codes then that is a lot. My car has roughly 2 faults codes a month by comparison.

Does the car car crank over at all? 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

None of those faults would stop the car from cranking.

You will need to see if the crank will turn a full 360 degrees by hand, to ensure it is not seized Sad
