On a diesel you take the heatshields off inside the wheel arch (what fun!) and then use long extensions to get to the manifold bolts and EGR bolts. |

Once you have stripped the heads off, please post some pictures, it would be good to see some evidence of the damage that LPG does to these engines. |

I expect you can lift the heads off with the manifolds still attached. But if you have the facilities to lift the body, it's much much easier and quicker to do so |

the wheel arch heatshields can be removed on a diesel.

Had a look yesterday and it does look like the heat shield are removable.

How long did it take you to get to the charger, nad how did you get the pulley back on ?

Luckily my friendly mechanic removed it, took a while there is one bolt under the charger which is a pita. You need to give yourself a long weekend.

Yes it seems its body off for anything on a Range Rover. WTF is it with that design? I've never heard of another marque that requires body off for anything. RRS (MY13) Santorini Black SDV6 HSE luxuary

Front end is fairly easy to remove, bit of patience and plusgas. I had to remove when changing my condenser on my old 4.2sc
