United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

A friend of my sons who used to work on the front desk of a LR Dealer moved to an Indie because she could not the pressure of constantly giving bad news to customers and always having to apologise.

I know LR are rumoured to read these posts but it is hard to believe. They must all have very thick skins. Some will say all manufacturers are like this - that is not my experience.

. Take a deap breath, Sit down. How about £111.50 + £22.30 VAT =£133.80 Per Hour at Stratstones. Just paid £507.20 For Supply and fitting front Driveshaft they said 2 Hour job

You need to find an indie. I had the O/S/F shaft replaced in December at an indie and it was £198.85 for the part, £72.50 to fit. Plus VAT, of course.

They only charged me £14.50 + VAT labour to fit rear brake pads. LR would have charged well over £100 plus the ridiculous mark-up they charge on the pads themselves.

Unless we vote with our feet, LR and its dealership franchise holders won't listen to us. If we want them to up their game then we have to take our ball away - if you'll excuse the mixed metaphor!

My next service, due in a few weeks, will be at the indie. I shall also be asking them to do some other work which I think was missed by the LR dealership at previous services (flexible brake pipes and auxiliaries belt). 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

That's great news Nigel, and with the money you've saved, you should treat yourself to fitment and enablement of the remote function for the timed park heater. I can install and enable for you no problem Whistle Thumbs Up
