United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

One thing I've discovered in my search in the last brochure the V spoke is the only one mentions off road use - the 15 spoke doesn't so wonder if this is important Confused

My current 19s are the same as shown in your pictures above. I'll buy another set in the spring hopefully. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Bl**dy hell muddy, winter will be over before you get them fitted to your Sport! Whistle Rolling with laughter

If SWMBO gets a new job (interview on Friday) then I think I'll whack a set of winter tyres on the Skoda for her. Current trip to work is less than 10 miles but the potential job is about 50 miles round trip and in the opposite direction to mine. Previously we would just take mine if there was snow about. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

SWMBO doesn't do a lot of miles and isn't a hooligan but I think the added braking benefit of winter tyres in the cold/damp months might be a useful safeguard. Her car's got Goodyear Optigrip fitted at the moment. Not a bad all round tyre and actually did surprisingly well in snow (for a summer tyre) when I took it out "just to see how it does". Got up the hill (only just) at the end of the village that often gets people stuck.

I think the added reassurance from winter tyres would make me feel better when she's out and about if nothing else. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Have a look at this! Shocked (wind to the end)

http://carcrashcompilation7.blogspot.co.uk

Funny how most, if not all of the cars involved were so called "4X4s". Rolling Eyes A new Loire Blue FFRR involved aswell! Thud Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more... Twisted Evil

Gone but not forgotten:
2014 RRS2 SDV6 HSE in Loire Blue
2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE in Santorini Black

Yes, but only 2 or maybe 3 were caused by 4x4s. And they all look to be eastern European too, interestingly.

I bet the FFRR was shunted because the driver didn't understand the TR and HDC systems. I've driven down an ice covered hill using HDC and been in control all of the way down. I drove back up and tried to repeat it using just the brakes to control speed and had the RRS sliding all over the place. I even tried to walk down the road and it was difficult to do that! On winter tyres and using HDC, that FFRR should have been able to drive down that icy downhill lane without a problem. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

There becomes a point where the law of physics takes over, and there's nothing you can do about that.

Bring on the Snow and Ice - I'm ready Twisted Evil

Just finished fitting my winter wheels and will take a better pic in the day - have to say I actually prefer the 19" alloys Embarassed

Bad news on the Pirelli Scorpion Snow & Ice take offs though - 1 is a run flat (5mm), 1 is a Mercedes (5mm - not the end of the world but really need a match) so only remaining 2 are matching pair (7mm) - Censored ebay - bang goes my plan to sell a set Rolling Eyes

Will clean em up at weekend and stick them in FS in case anyone is interested in the good pair or spares before Fleabay Sad Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

I have now done a few days on the 19" and the ride is a vast improvement on the 20" - so much so I'm actually considering selling my 20" and buying some more of these wheels and fitting all season m&s for the summer Shocked Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
