Depends on lots of things. Is it first set of pads to be reaced, is there a big ridge or rust on the disc? If they are Brembos, get oe discs and pads. If its rears then decent quality copy parts are plenty good enough. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

The pads would have been done in the past by the previous owner.
Yes its Brembos thats on it..Just so mny options out there and the prices vary quite dramatically .!
No there is no ridge on the disc faces but there is the usual age relates rust marks on then.

My advice would be to fit genuine pads to Brembos. I tried spurious pads and the car really didn't stop that well, so went to dealers and bought genuine. If the discs are fine don't change them. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

I agree. For Brembos use genuine pads and discs TDV8 now with extra grin factor thanks to Alive Tunning: Gone but not forgotten

I understand that the pads used by LR are actually made by Ferrodo irrespective of the brake system used. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

The front pads are labelled up as made by brembo, it says brembo on the back of the pads.
The rrp is around £120, but dealers over buy to get a larger discount on parts. So you can find front pads, from a dealer, on ebay for around£90

Just in case you didn't get it the first time Shocked Rolling with laughter
Pads I have are in a LR parts box but say Brembo stamped into the metal backing. Am sure the brake material is outsourced but I doubt we will ever know its actual manufacturer. I think my pads were £143 inc vat when I picked them up at service in case I needed some between then and next service. Didn't realise it was going to be parked up long term. You can buy uprated EBC brake pads for half that price.

Redstuff are recommended for everyday use, and Yellowstuff for "spirited" driving Whistle

Have you tried them Mikey? Interested to know how they perform when cold. Only ever used green stuff which are great when warm but don't stop you at all when cold. Thumbs Up 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

I used Redstuff, and thought they were amazing. Almost no brake dust from them, and initial bite was great, and only got better as they got warmer. Just make sure they are the ceramic compound Thumbs Up

Have not used Yellowstuff yet, but have heard good things about them too...

If and when the beast returns, I might give that a go, my wheels go black within a day of being washed so anything that reduces this is good Thumbs Up 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

I certainly had no issues with brake dust. Were even cleaner than using OEM pads Thumbs Up
