apart from the clear inconvenience of it all, that doesn't seem such a bad deal really |

Are you happy? I'm not sure I would be - 5K is a good 10% more for a car you should already have, and would have if LR hadn't been lazy! LR seem to be the winners here. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

The positives of owning a (hopefully perfect, this time) MY2007 car outweigh the negatives of paying another £5k.

£5K sounds a lot to me too. It should really go on when you first told them of the problems on the car. I paid £600 towards my replacement D3 after 6 months!

Bob - sorry but I really think you are being hard done by here. 2K maybe but 5k and the other costs for extras, inconvenience etc. 5k to LR is peanuts to keep a customer happy but I just don't think it's a great deal for you. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Bobs_buggy, only just saw this thread. I have rejected my Sport for the same reason above, though mine is not as bad as your. I have those particle specks over most of the car, scratch on rear spoiler and some touch up paint used by the drivers door lock where they clearly damaged it during the build! My rejection saga is still goes on 8 months after picking it up. My dealer tells me he is taking 2 rejection routes 1. pure rejection 2. rejection under warranty ....though whats the difference? Don't do a lot of mileage and are nearly hitting 5k (3k of which done going to Italy and back). Apparantly a LR guy is coming over soon to look at the car. One thing I will not accept is having to pay any difference to get my replacement and neither should you! My dealer has accepted my replacement claim but wanted LR to cover their loss in replacing the car. Therefore LR should be the one to suffer a loss. Especially with the problems you have had. Clearly they are making regular Lemons and need to improve their production quality. In the end, if I get a new car after a years driving FOC, then good for me, serves LR right for not getting the car right in the first place. Rob *Gone - HSE TDV8 Rimini Red + Tasmod sill plates |

I've also only just revisited this thread... does seem LR have come out on top here. How are they expected to realise the error of their ways and increase production accuracy when they can "get away" with things like this. If you're happy with the outcome, Bob, then I guess that's fait accompli in your eyes but LR really should have done more.

I've sent another letter to Land Rover, giving them an update, and my feelings on having to pay more money. I'm hoping that they will see the error of their ways and reduce the amount of contribution I'm currently being expected to pay. It does seem a bit of an insult to pay for optional extras twice! RRS 4.2 S/C. Zermatt. Tints. Stormers. 150+ paint defects, wonkey bonnet, scratches, detached doorseal. suspension faults. To sum it up, a 60k pile of cr4p! |
