Dynamic Response

I wonder if Dynamic Response is only for the energetic driver, of if it's valuable to have a more stable
vehicle in curves and braking.
I heard DR makes it stiffer and less smooth to drive. Having often passengers and / or little kids,
I wonder if suspension gets stiffer with it.
On the other hand, I noticed RRS without DR has a tendency to pitch a little bit in some circumstances.
Any advice pro or con here ?

simply the BEST feature of the car.. also happens to be the BEST feature on the X5 (I forget what they call it but same concept i.e. hydraulic system to act against the torsion (anti-roll) bar on the front of the car), so not sure how or if it could make the whole suspension stiffer i.e. bumps in the road?

I would not have the vehicle if it didn't have this feature, simply because it makes it so much more fun (x 100) to drive by minimising (almost eliminating) roll/pitch into corners at speed

SO GOOD!!!!!

Not my question

Indeed, but as said I'm a smooth driver for my passengers.
So, when driving with the RRS, I'm not sure DR is really useful.
For dspeeding, I got my old DB2…

Couldn't agree more. DR makes a big difference. SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE BUG AND SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE WINDSHIELD

You may be a smooth driver but when driving such a tall heavy vehicle such as the RRS it will always benifit from DR, nobody 'speeds' in a RRS buts its suprising how fast you end up 'crusing' through the corners and technical stuff and thats when DR comes into its own

I'm with you, ASH55, but I wonder if the vehicle becomes stiffer and less comfortable.

Yes, a little stiffer but not uncomfortable.
And it drives very smooth!! Thumbs Up

If its not useful for you then don't get it. After all, as you said, you have your DB2... Wink Malaysia Boleh!

Dear Bobby,
The RRS I tried had a little tendency to pitch (but the day I tried it, I was jetlag and hadn't slept since 36 hours…).
Reason why I talked about the DR to the dealer, and he told me I should get it. Afterwards, I spoke with another
dealer who told me : Don't bother, it's only if you drive fast.
And I won't drive fast with the RRS.

All depends what fast is - nobody drives an RRS likes it's a 911. My RRS didn't have it and it was a bit wallowy, but DR-equipped cars are much tighter. Even if you're not chucking it about you can tell the difference. I go with your dealer... get it, it makes the whole driving experience better in my opinion Thumbs Up

Which raises an obvious question:

"Does anybody know if Dynamic Response can be turned off?" 2010MY HSE 3.0 TDV6. Stornoway Grey/Ivory. Extended leather, winter pack.

Is it true however, that removing the fuse simply puts it into 'hard mode'. Can it be put into a more default mode similar to not having dynamic response (ie soft and wallowy). 2010MY HSE 3.0 TDV6. Stornoway Grey/Ivory. Extended leather, winter pack.

No, there is no hard mode. DR doesn't affect the damper stiffness. Thumbs Up

Landrover guy the other day, who had cmpleted a G4 challenge in RRS was saying that the articulation was far better and improved off-road when fitted with DR which in his book gave it a big advantage over the Disco 3/4 when in the mud
