Had to happen I suppose

Well got in the car yesterday. Suspension fault. Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry

On/off etc still there. Suspension working as normal but red flashing light. Drove couple of miles. Left it for 1/2 hour.

Got back in started it ....fault light gone Exclamation

So its off to the garage friday for a diagnostic check while I wait. I'm guessing its just the software but thought I'd better check. TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone

Bad luck Josh, just a thought, have you tried putting the suspension into high and then low then back to normal, it might just be a lazy sensor some of my Previous cars

Good idea. Watch the 4x4 display when you do this. Faulty sensors often show up as the wheel bouncing off the red end-stops when you try this. They sometimes do it when you reverse hard, put it in drive and then accelerate forward. I've had two faulty sensors, and both exhibited this behaviour.

Replaced under warranty (went within the 1st month, probably a faulty batch). N/S/R went first. Replaced. Week later N/S/F went. Replaced.

Been in. Plugged it in car won't communicate with them or their machine Exclamation So now its going in for 2 days Exclamation Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry

Its not shown the fault since.

But they say because they can't communicate with it the problem could result in a breakdown so they need to get to the bottom of it. Sad

TB,

Got any ideas on this? TDV6 - gone

Is this where they plug the testbook in and all the car says is:

Sorry Josh, can't help with route cause. But I do have a few reservations.

Are the dealers sure that the communication problem lies with your vehicle and not the test equipment? Have they tried the test equipment on another vehicle to prove that it is working correctly?

More importantly, have they got an alternative test facility. If they only have the one box of tricks which won't communicate with your vehicle, what are they hoping to achieve by keeping your vehicle for two or three days.

Wouldn't it be easier to take your vehicle to another dealers and get them to try their test equipment?

Or . . . Am I just a suspicious b Censored d when it comes to anything to do with dealers and warranty claims. Confused Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.
