This thread is WAY too long to review at almost midnight (local time...), so I am sorry if these two DR related TSB's have been posted here already, but here they are (issued in the past couple of weeks by Land Rover North America.) Hopefully they help. Well, TSB # 1 in particular doesn't sound too encouraging, but you never know.
TSB#LS204-012
I have complete pdf's of both, should you wish to get a copy please PM me. ![]() |

I have evaluated another RRS 07 HSE for a couple of days. I noticed a slight noise from the suspension on a couple of occasions only which was similar to the noise I get on my vehicle. However the noise from mine is virtually continuous on certain roads and at a much greater level.

Well we appear to be having some success on this - eh Doc. Discounting any genuine problem with DR, we still need to get to the bottom of what is causing the other vehicles to have a front suspension knock. The Drop Links appear to be mentioned a few times - as in your case. So it would be good to know why this particular component (and an others) is proving troublesome and whether LR have already modified any of these troublesome components. So hears hoping you can extract some information from Hillendale. |

Hi everyone - I've just stumbled across your forum and have read the postings on this particular subject with great interest. I have a one month old TDV6 HSE - and yes, you guessed it, I have the annoying knocking noise from the front suspension too!

Well DOC I am glad you got your "Knock, Knock, Knocking Sport sorted. As a relatively newbie to the forum I have been watching this and many other LR forums with interest. The knocking problem you and many others have identified was replied to by myself in a response to "Noddy" under the following link -; http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic4282.html I did identify 2 potential areas that could cause the "Knocking" problem you guys describe. I guess I was not far off with my assessment based on the feed back and problem resolution you have received from your chosen LR dealer in erradicating your knocking steering problem. As my pseudo name suggests I am Ex LR! Have worked in many LR manufacturing areas and along with many other engineers was assigned the problem you guys have been experiencing but on project L322. I'll keep on dropping into the forum now and again but for now happy new year to you all and best of luck in sorting the issues that you have with your RR Sports. EXLR ![]() |

Its great to know there is at least one former LR employee here, but I would be even better is LR at least admitted to having a lurker on this and other forums. I'm in the hotel business, and I have had lurkers on frequent traveller sites for at least the last four years. More recently, we have begun (through a third party - as it is a server intensive undertaking) trawling blogs to measure postings. In an economy where advertising is just noise and consumers turn to each other for information and advice, it seems pretty obvious that someone better be listening. 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE, Java/Ebony/Cherry, Privacy, Sunroof, PTI, Premium Sound, SatNav, Cold Climate, Tow kit, CarStyle coded grill and vents, Tasmods, Stormers, JE Exhaust, Autobiography badge |

Agreed - why not have an official voice or reason - one that works with us to help our land rover brand go forwards! |

Doc how about all of us with a knock book our cars into the same dealer on the same day and see if they fob us all off, or sort it out |
