I'll put a link into the cure from VOR to this thread - I think it best to keep the cure short. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I Collected my car today at 4pm from HILLENDALE in NELSON (FAB GUYS - THANKS AGAIN) and guess what????

NO knocking sound!

They replaced the Anti roll bar drop link bushes which were U/S - and that’s it - no excuses - no LR said - Just drop it of and they fix it!

I was so please I went on a 4 hour tour through Manchester etc to find all the potholes that I could and NO KNOCKING!

I had the same problem it turns out it was a similar solution. They replaced bushings and the entire swaybar assembly. I love driving my RRS now nYc

I would only add that LR have yet to produce any bulletins or info to dealers on this issue so don't expect your dealer to know this automatically, so far only dealers that have been actively involved with problem vehicles are likely to be aware, although LR technical should now be able to advise any dealers unsure of this update.

PS ENVOY thanks for the vote of confidence my future posts depend largely on if I feel I'm falling on deaf ears?

After just returning from a 6 weeks sailing holiday around the Virgin Islands - without internet communication access, I was delighted to find that VOR is again posting on this site.

The message from VOR above reaffirms what he previously indicated - if we are prepared to listen and learn about how to obtain solutions to similiar 'obscure' faults, then his assistance, when required, will continue. If not, there will be no assistance nor feedback from him of the resulting action taken within the depths of LR.

Lets all hope this latest action from LR will now well and truly silence the 'knocking' noise emitted on existing vehicles and also the new ones now leaving the factory. Gone - 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey, ebony, zabrano trim, TV, Tasmods, mudflaps.
