United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 Autobiography Santorini Black

Found another flaw with this dab module, When listening if you get an incoming phone call and answer through RR then the dab music stays on and the dab volume cant be adjusted, The voice call wont come through the vehicle so you have to put speaker on the phone, Which is not ideal if music is on, Anyone else tried to make a phone call while dab is on and experienced the something similar?

Reference the Bluetooth calling......

I think its a glitch we'll all have to put up with, whether it be turning on and off and it staying on until the system shuts down or car is locked, or the incoming calls via Bluetooth with the volume adjustment.

When I plug into GAP iid the DAB module/ECU now is unrecognizable and wont talk to the rest of the system properly, I think the integration works only because of the incoming signal (sound/DAB reception) are nearly the same, but its the software that wont hand shake with the L320 infotainment - the error is "DABM-Digital Audio - No data from ECU".

The module we've fitted is able to be integrated with the later Bosch system, because as Col stated it was offered as an upgrade by Land Rover for the later L320's, but ultimately the CPLA-14F720-?? module is designed for the later spec cars, incorporating the L405 also.

I think its pure luck that it works on the Denso units, due to the fact the inputs are the same as the original DAB module, it'll be the firmware/software that lets the comms down.

Patrick at GAP did let me have access to the full CCF files to be uploaded to my GAP iid tool, but I wouldn't know my ass from my elbow what to edit or change anyway, I know of course it can be put back to what it was standard, but its the possibility of bricking a module or the system that worries me. Unless someone else more experienced wants to have a go, by all means contact Patrick at GAP.

Cheers Dean
