Hi everyone. HELP PLEASE. My L494 Range Rover Sport was driving beautifully but i went through a pot hole and immediately it started a tapping noise from under the bonnet and i was only able to limp home. The next morning i went to the car, it started and ran great again . two weeks later, i was driving it when the dreaded red triangle appeared and i had to coast onto the side of the road. I limped home and the car was making terrible taping noise again . My Icarsoft computer came up with Fuel Injector driver fault. I cleared this but it still won't run properly. I fiddled with the wiring looms above the ECU and it wouldn't start at all. I cleared the faults again and it will now start but rough as hell and not drivable. ANY IDEAS PLEASE????

Hi Rob,

Horrible when something like this happens. If the car is still showing a fault you need to read live data. I would suggest you start with injectors and fuel rail pressure. You should see [with the injectors] similar reading from all.

You could try checking the wiring at each injector but I would start with live data.

I think with Icarsoft you should also be able to run an actuation test which should tell you if the computer can activate each injector.

Hi , I don't think there is a connection with the seal issue but who knows!!! lol
I suspect its an injector or injector control issue but difficult for me to narrow it down. Once again thanks for replying

We have good news 🙏…I took all the engine covers off etc and disconnected all the wires to the injectors …carefully measured the resistance across the 3 injectors on the near side bank . I injector showed a much higher resistance across the coil and interestingly, occasionally to ground also .Luckily I had a spare ( secondhand ) injector which I fitted and all is ok now!!!! Thanks for your help guys and hope this helps someone else at some point🙏
