L320 2008 - A Pillar Window Mouldings

Hi all,

I replaced my slam panel as it was no longer touching the window.
Looking at the A Pillar covers/moldings, the foam has deteriorated, so looking to refresh or replace.

Does anyone have any experience with doing this?
Can you use aftermarket or should you use OEM/EM versions?

I only ask as they are not readily available.
Maltings sell some made by Allmakes 4x4. Are these ok?

Any help very much appreciated.

Thank any way.
I've bought some replacements as mine let in water and whistle quite badly.

They didn't fit very well, but I've replaced the scuttle panel and everything seems to fit better. L320 Range Rover Sport 2008

New screen for me today - I had a stone chip right in my eyeline, which would normally have been repaired, however, as it damaged the heated screen element it was deemed irreparable, so Autoglass fitted a new screen.

They also fitted new A pillar trims and clips - which was nice.

I'll put some Aerospace 303 UV protector on them when not stops raining, which should keep them spick and span for a while.

It was this thread that actually prompted me to get my screen done, as the driver's side A pillar trim had a cracked clip locator and wasn't sitting flush, so thanks very much !

Nb - the screen was aftermarket, but fits perfectly and you wouldn't know it wasn't a JLR one. The insurance co wanted £900 excess for a JLR one.

How much was the windscreen?
I have a chip in mine, not an MOT failure, just a pain.

2 new a pillar covers later and they fit like a glove. I think they move over time - and fade terribly. L320 Range Rover Sport 2008

£115 excess for the screen. I think it's £25 - £60 if it's just a repair, but you don't get new A pillar trims Very Happy
