HELP "only normal height available"

Hi all, apologies as I'm new here, female and not great with 'car language' lol!

I've a 66 plate RRS and the above issue has come up on my car. I've read through this forum and can see others have issues.

However, my issue is that the suspension rises and falls in all settings OK.

The compressor is working well and I've checked the pipes leading to it too (no leaks, splits etc) .. I'm stuck what to check next....

Please help , thank you in advance Smile

You need a new one of these on the compressor ;

Easy to swap yourself just unscrews from the compressor, compressor is under the boot lid, check youtube as theres a few videos , easy DIY job. Thumbs Up

It allows the air out of the exhaust , so if the air cant be released at the correct pressure from the compressor it throws the error.

I replaced the part easily (old one was corroded on inspection) but the error is still there.
I've taken videos of the suspension rising up and down and it appears on off road setting the front is slower to rise.
Code C1A20-64

Any suggestions please?

Hmmmmm, Im not too sure personally unless the full compressor is getting 'lazy' so its kicking out a code now and again. Basically on its way out.

Can anyone else help shed any light on this..

It raises the rear first, and then the front. So that it what you are seeing on video

C1A20-64, pressure increase too slow when filling reservoir

So a compressor service seams like a sensible way forward. Make sure you know what brand is fitted before ordering parts from ebay. And look up videos on youtube on how to service.

Brand could be AMK

Hi thank you.

Yes the one I have is an AMK. I've been told to stay away from the Hitachi ones

As Andy says, it raises thr rear first so that the headlights (if on) won't dazzle the opposition.

If you don't feel confident, then maybe just buy a new one, or at least find out who has in stock, if you need one in a hurry

You want a piston and/or piston seal as well if you can get one
