If it’s just screeching then you could probably just adjust the shoes. You definitely want to follow the instructions word for word, including adjusting the wedge and torquing it to spec. I’d discontinue using the parking brake now before it seizes, that’s a can of worms you really don’t want to open. On the meantime if the brake comes on automatically when you stop the engine take the fuse out to stop it working, if it jams you will have a major job. |

Re the six pot Brembos - I think it was Col who said there’s not much difference in stopping power between 4&6 pots. (Happy to stand corrected Col !).
