Throttle body fitting

Hi, I have the same error message and want to change the throttle body. Can you just fit a new one or does it need programming. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the reply, I have had it off to clean and it was really gunked up
with black oil and soot deposits. I have now had the red dpf filter fault come up
and it is at present having the dpf removed and deep cleaned under warranty.
I have read on here that it’s the throttle body that causes this but I can’t get
the dealer to change it because they think just cleaning the dpf will fix it.
I think I will just do it myself £500 is a small price to pay for piece of mind.

The dealers are clueless. The throttle causes the error code and the error code suspends DPF regeneration. The DPF will clog again. Go to YouTube and look up a guy called OReillys Mobile Mechanics. He's put out some good videos on this issue on JLR vehicles and shows how to clean the DPF without removing it.

They did a software update when I had my throttle body replaced. Don’t completely know why it had to be done, but it’s been fine since the throttle body change.
I was also getting DPF issues and had it cleaned after numerous warning lights appeared, and kept appearing after the DPF clean, and didn’t stop until throttle body changed.
It’s been good for 18+ months now, whereas it was about a day until the throttle body was changed

Hi. Did you ever get yours sorted fully?

I've 2015 RRS and going around in circles.

P24A4-97
Diesel particle filter restriction- soot accumulation too high - bank 1
State: Intermittent

P0234-77
Turbo/supercharger overboost condition
State: Intermittent

I have had my DPF flushed and a brand new throttle body installed. Keep getting the same issues over and over.

My turbo pressure is fine and no whines and evident smoke. But something still isn't right.

Getting the same but the turbo over pressure only seems to be triggered by the car trying to do a regen. In normal use no fault comes up but when I go to force a region via tool, it triggers the fault and won't regain. Have cleaned the DPF and new LR Throttle body

2 things to consider that might help

1. When you change the throttle body make sure it the new one is programed in. Any easy step but if its not setup as new the car still things things it's an issue.
2. I read on forums the oil Breather can also cause these issues. I changed mine and so far this and the above have stopped the issue coming back (1 month on).

My issue I now have is the oil monitor level issue. It has come on twice in 2 months but dissappear on its own. I'm looking into this and hope it might be a battery or software issue and won't need to remove the sump to change a stupid sensor.

Any idea how to do the software reset? I have a Gapp-IID tool but doesn't seem to have anything to do it

So i changed the Throttle body and the Oil breather and took it for a run. When i use the gap iid to try and force regen the Dpf it immediately fails with code P0234-77 happening. Cleared the fault and then drove for a while to find the car then did its own regen and didnt trigger the code!

Hope that's it sorted for you. Mine has been fine since those 2 steps.

Only issue I have now is the oil monitor sensor that is coming infrequently.
