Not so new to the fold, but my first sport, I've been on FF for years and on my 3rd FF, I've just put a deposit / PX my L405 for a 2017 L494 SVR

Very nice. Have you checked the insurance out for the SVR?

Yes, insurance is coming in at around 1500, a couple under but missing windscreen cover etc.

Luckily I've got a decent postcode and over 30 years ncd between 2 separate policies.

Car has got a ghost fitted and the dealer has said it has a tracker but suspect it is just the incontrol standard fit.

Current quote is with no tracker or immobiliser though Very Happy so hoping to get it down a little further.

Any recommendations on insurance companies that recognise a ghost as an immobiliser?

The comparison sites don't list them, neither do they list the incontrol tracker

Thank you!!

I have a Range Rover Sport HSE 2015, it's time to change the tyres and I am unsure what's best. I bought it 6 months ago, it has 275/40/R22 ...2 Pirellis and 2 Continentals. I have read more than anyone should read about tyres Smile and still clueless. Any tips highly welcomed thank you.

Welcome, I’m too on the lookout for 4 new 22 inch tyres for my car since all picked up for cracking and only 3mm tread left . Premium ones around £280 each or budget ones or £120 each. I’m going to go for the premium when I decide to replace which will be just before October ish

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Zermatt Silver

Hi all
I have a range rover sport 2.7 tdv6 owned it 4 years
Been a good car till away on holiday .
The divers side cam pulley sheared off .
Resulting in broken rockers and bent cams on drivers side head .
I took both heads off ,body on .nice job ha ha .no bent valves
New head gaskets .New rockers to both heads and new camshafts to drivers side head as they were bowed .New timing chains to both heads .upgrade cam sprocket and cambelt etc .car is now running very nice .parts were just shy of £700.
And it took 5 days to do the job .went better than I expected .
Glad I done it rather than scrapping the car .Just some info for anyone who has the same issue .it can be done .
Thanks for reading hope it helps someone .

Hello

Hi, good to be here. Looking at purchasing so will be around learning, asking questions and hopefully helping out too.

Keen on the petrol motors so first view posts will be around that.

Looking to purchase, torn between a RRS and FFR. Moving up to Skye in the next few months and will be travelling back and forth between race circuits so looking for something comfortable to eat up the miles in.

Worst one will be Brands at 700 miles each way.

Coming out of an X3M and need more room / less harsh a ride.

Either will be great in terms of ride from what you are coming from. A big diesel will eat up those miles.. regularly do a 700 mile each way journey in my RRS - no problem at all.

Hi, thanks for having me.
Having ran an L322 (0Cool for quite a few years Ive lately been looking at the RRS. Road Tax is same, Insurance a 'little' higher but other than that a complete 'new' car to me.

Im looking at one (2012 autobiography) thats had the dreaded crossover pipe done (receipts) and manifolds done so Im breathing a little easier knowing it doesnt look like I'll need the body off anytime soon. I had he manifolds (and loads of other stuff done to my L322 in recent years and its financially draining !!) Its done just shy of 140000 with full service history.

Is there anything else I should be looking at before I pull the trigger ?

Thanks
