Only applies to 2010+ Land Rovers, but you’re in luck, not the 3.6 TDV8.

Thumbs Up Another win here! Rolling with laughter Actually two wins in a row, as the L319 is a 2005. Regards etc.,

Ok so been having a play with the car tonight and even though the CTEC charger says all is fine and dandy it obviously isn’t. When I unlock the car and open the door there is a big warning on the dash saying battery low please start engine. The car will actually start and all warning lights go off. I can’t risk going out in it unless it’s to get the battery checked and replaced if required. I may even get a company like AA or Halfords out to replace the battery as the prices seem ok(around £300 fitted)l I’ll keep the forum updated with what I do.👍

I'd just get a new battery fitted. Why mess around hoping it's ok when, as you say, it's a risk driving it.

I'm surprised to hear that Halfords will fit one - when I went to a Halfords c.6 years ago, they wouldn't touch it. I guess they've caught up with big batteries/modern systems now. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

It maybe because you connected the charger directly to the battery, rather than the neg lead to chassis.

Computer thinks it’s low.

Just fit the battery yourself.
Or maybe the battery is ok if the car has had little use and that is what the ctek is for

The CTEC is connected to the terminals under the bonnet not direct to the battery.

Yes I’m definitely getting a new battery fitted. Just deciding when and where to take it or get a mobile fitter to fit it. Halfords s and AA will fit at home but RAC will not fit it only supply

Easy but what about the coding? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
