Morning,

Thought it maybe worth a quick ask here as I've come across an issue with my L494.

Morning drive to work, I get the bonnet open message - pull over pop the bonnet shut it again - error continues, this moves on to flashing between a coolant level low and then to water in fuel.

Cycles between the 3 issues flashing one after the other.

Along side this Passenger side headlight has stopped working along with left indicator.

I've seen a thread in regards to the headlight earth straps throwing these kinds of errors.
Could it be anything else or is the headlight strap a good place to start?

Unable to find any images/instructions or a part number to replace if anyone has these to hand it would be appreciated.

As DM has said, pretty sure it will be the earthing point under the n/s/f wheel arch liner snapped off due to galvanic corrosion. Had the o/s/f go on mine, replaced it with the LR approved repair stud & checked the n/s and it literally fell off in my hand

This can happen after a few minutes of being parked. Or a few hours.

Noticed too that when I drive off and the doors lock @ 5 mph, after about 30 minutes they unlock, whilst driving. If I lock them again, they will often unlock again after a random period.

My thoughts are it is a faulty door lock module (if there is such a thing) and this doesn't catch right, or overheats, or something.

Took it to a local independent LR specialist on Monday after not being able to lock the car for two weeks. Car behaved perfectly when there, and has been fine ever since.

When I checked for a fault code earlier in the month there were three "High speed CAN communication bus" intermittent errors (U0001-87; U0011-87; U0001-82) and a historic "Control module microprocessor B" (U1A4B-47) error, along with others.

Any thoughts on this - sounds like a similar earth fault, but no idea where this would be to check.

Headlight earth on offside caused this on ours .
Have both replaced with a Riv nut and sealed

Fixed, 20 minute job!

Exactly what it says above, offside headlight earth strap corroded come away from the body.
