So here is the story, wheel bearing was completely knackered so had to strip hub, was unable to remove handbrake cable so had to grind the plastic nut rendering the cable useless,
Rebuilt the hubs with new disks, shoes, pads and cables, set the shoes up iaw the manual,
Removed the EPB and rebuilt the gearbox as the clutched gears were on their way out. Re latched the cables all set up iaw the spec!!
Now I have constant “P” flashing continuously with reading the codes on the SDD software I have C1A00-4B system over Temp

I cannot clear this fault when I pull the brake on the motor spins for a second then spins the other way for a second and the system goes into complete fault with parking brake inoperable on the dash!

Any ideas 🤷‍♂️

Makes sense, I’m away with work tomorrow but will be back on the 26th, I’ll strip motor investigate and report back accordingly. 👌

Well changed the motor for new with zero change to fault, starting to get on my last nerve this handbrake. Just need it to work once for the MOT.
I really don’t want to change the epb for a new one as they are ridiculously priced besides I’m not convinced the unit is defective. 🤷‍♂️

If it logs that code even without applying the switch, there is a fault inside the module

Recheck whatever you've replaced inside. If you still have no joy, you'll need to replace the module

Any recommendations on replacement modules? Obviously some mentally priced ones out there but also some cheeper ones on eBay?

The cheap ones are Chinese . They don't last

Fit a genuine part, and forget about it
