Didnt think of that as I havent any of the normal wheel bearing suspicions. |

Could it be play in the rack, especially if big wheels have been fitted at some point. The indie I use has said so much as to cars being blinged at some point in their ownership. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue. |

I'd check for play in the lower steering shaft.

Funny that. I've recently had the lower shaft replaced (found as part of another issue) and the steering feels much better. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Sorry dont follow this ..you want someone in the car to rock the steering while you get underneath and feel for play....just like they do in the MOT Always listen to old people or when they die you will live on in ignorance.
