2012 Interior Boot Trim Removal?

Afternoon,

So my new powered boot strut arrived today and I need to fit it ASAP so I can start using the boot!

The process looks pretty straightforward, however I know I need to get into the boot to unplug the electrical connector. I have searched the forum and YouTube and all the matches relate to either removal of the exterior boot trim or the interior but on a pre-facelift which has the split tailgate.

Does anyone have any pointers on the fixing points/screws that I need to remove in order to reach the electrical socket??

Cheers

I removed mine recently to remove the silver trim to get it painted.
You need to remove the interior handle, (Clip on cover then 2 x torx screws) then remove the 2 off side trims (Gently pull away) then the main trim is held in with loads of push clips

Thanks ever so much that’s really helpful and sounds quite straightforward. Do the clips come out ok or tend break - just wondering if it’s worth me ordering some in advance??

They should be OK. Just line them up well when putting g back. 1 off them is a fir tree clip so might be worth paying close attention to that one. It's the opposite side to to interior handle

Have posted these instructions for the one piece tailgate several times previous, may help a little.
