Nice mate. Thanks for that. I'll probably have a nip down the M6 then as it won't cost me £50 in diesel. |

I’ve just purchased some sidesteps (not from sidesteps sadly as bought before seeing this thread) and they require cutting the plastic trim under the car - this isn’t an issue but, I am having serious issues with installing the nearside rear bracket as there are a couple of metal pipes (fuel) obstructing the threaded hole and I can seem to move them enough to locate the bracket. Has anyone (tyrefitter maybe?) come across this and resolved?

Mmmm that’s the side where the fuel pipes run which you need to watch out when cutting plastic trim that you don’t catch a pipe but I’ve never come across where the bracket are close to the the pipes,,can you take a pic & post it.? Andy.

Hi Tyrefitter, just for confirmation do you find that the rear brackets are usually a different design/shape between near and offside as I believe this is the issue with the set I have received, with them both being the same design there is no consideration of the brake/fuel lines on the nearside. Thanks |

Yes the rears are totally different for the reason of the fuel pipes. If you look at the 2nd & 4th bracket, you can see the difference for clearance of fuel pipes.
