I took mine into Guy Salmon Stockport yesterday, left it at 09:15. Got a call about 4pm, "as it's pouring down can we keep it overnight to allow the glue to bond rather than it get wet" that made sense to me. Went for it at lunch today, all washed and vac'd which was a pleasant surprise however the spoiler had 5-6 strips of masking tape still on it clearly the car washers thought "not my job", when I queried it the service guy said "I'd leave the tape on for 24hrs more". My response was "why tell me it's ready if it's not" "erm ye just take them off then".

Harwoods told me they had done a full vehicle inspection, but as the washer bottle was empty (by design), I knew they hadn't, as this is the easiest £30 they can make.

Which dealer did you use? Have any pictures with the new spoiler fitted mate? |

My local dealer today said that the recall is not registered for our car, nor is it listed on the MOT Gov site. However it is in the middle of the production run, having been built in November 2010.

That's rather interesting as I didn't think the A/B rear spoiler was part of the recall, unless they have started as a precaution against lawsuits. Unlike L/R to do something for nothing.

Thats a good point Col, I wonder if i have the standard spoiler or AB spoiler as the kit wasn’t factory fitted, Best check before i take it in, Is there an easy way to tell the difference? |

Easy enough to tell the physical difference between the HSE and A/B spoiler if that's what you mean. This is MyA/B

Thats a big difference now you have put the photo on, So i have the A/B kit but with standard spoiler lol but tbh i like the standards spolier, Funny enough about 3 years ago i noticed it was loose so stuck some tiger seal inbetween to keep it together so i mat have avoided it flying apart. Still strange for previous owner to not finish the kit with AB spoiler or maybe he preferred the standard one anyhow. |
