Jack it on the chassis as shown in the owners handbook. Or on the suspension arm as they often do in tyre places. Either way, you're putting axle stands under it so it's all good. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

You need to jack it up with the vehicle set at standard height when replacing suspension arms. The reason being, you need to have the distance between the centre of the hub and the bottom of the wheel arch set at 462mm when you tighten the bolts up. You'll struggle to achieve this if you jack up at off-road height! Kev

And you really need to tighten the bolts when the vehicle is sat on the ground / on a ramp so that they are tightened in the correct orientation. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Or a jack under the strut/disc, ensuring it’s at the correct height |
