2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Siberian Silver

What Size Wheels/Tyres

So I think these 20" rims, 275/40/20's just doesnt 'look' right? maybe too low a profile? would 21 or 22's help, or a different size altogether? Thoughts, pictures of what you guys are running..

They do look low profile and wide too.

Maybe wrong tyres fitted ? What does the manual say ?

I’d avoid 22s

275/40/20 is a correct size although on a 2007 2.7 it might be that you shouldn't have 20 inch rims fitted anyway. Early 2.7 weren't designed to have rims over 19 as the steering rack needed a damper. The V8 petrol and diesel had the damped rack. Not sure whether a 2007 2.7 would have it. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Had 22s with 285/35 tyres on my Disco 3 MY2005 which mechanically was identical to L320.

Never had an issues re handling and ride...

So those wheels you have are 9'5" wide, so the alternative if you keep them are 275/45 tyres.

These are the same wheels with the bigger tyres on my Disco.

Here are 20" 8.5" wide wheels with 255/55 tyres on the same car.

And here is my RRS with 21" wheels and 275/45 tyres.

As you can see, to fill the arches you either need to go to 255/55 x 20 or 275/45 x 21.

I have also sent you a PM, with a couple of options.

Hi,
first pic is of standard 20" wheels with car in access mode, I preferred the ride on the second pic which were 255/55/19
Agree with above stick with 20" and put 45 profiles on, if that helps any

See now I think your pics in post #1 are fine. I run a different style of standard 20s’ with 275/40 and love the look. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

If you want to fill the arches, you go for a high sidewall, not a short sidewall on a big rim. It gives a better ride too and also gives the rims some protection when you're parking up on the pavement to pick up your kids from school.

The full drug dealer look, conversely, needs huge rims with spray on rubber.

So, drug dealer look or yummy mummy pavement-mounter - it's your choice.

Alternatively if you did not wish to the replace wheels or tyres you could always re-calibrate the ride height to lower the suspension, probably not the best if you go off road though as lowering standard ride height automatically changes the others heights the same amount. My own personal choice either 275/45 x 20" or 275/45 x 21"
