My last set of tyres did exactly that, twitched and tried to follow white lines, road patches etc. it was quite unnerving especially in the wet. I put it down to having different fronts to rears, the previous set of Continentals didn't do that (would never recommend them though due to the bad edge wear). As mentioned above the crossclimates feel totally steady, no twitching or line following so far, so I'd think it was more tyre choice than RRS's. 13MY Range Rover Sport Autobiography SDV6 - mine 14MY Range Rover Evoque Dynamic SD4 Black Pack - wife's 99MY Defender 90 TD5, Soft Top Conversion - my toy, and bairns favourite |

Some say to increase the size of the tyre to 275/45/20 instead of 275/40/20 as it’s a better ride , would this be ok or would it affect the Speedo reading . |

I'm still to check mine against the GPS but I reckon it should be more accurate. I know the 40's were 3mph under at 60mph, so it should even it out. 13MY Range Rover Sport Autobiography SDV6 - mine

I have run both 275/45x20" and 275/45x21" and as Dave B said on the 21's it is spot on compared to GPS, we also have a lot of roadside speed warning cameras here and the digital readout on dash and camera are exactly the same so 20" rims should not make any real difference to worry about. If it's suggested suggest changing wheel/tyre size in the CCF files don't bother as it won't make a blind bit of difference to the speedo reading, except possibly to the mileage distance covered and dash mpg "lie 'o' meter" reading and that will be minimal.

Strange thing is, my Disco Commercial is on 275/45x20s, and the speedo is again bang on with the GPS tachograph display.

For anyone who is running the General Grabber AT3, How do you find it for road noise, comfort and wear?

I found the Grabber AT3 to be very good on road. No noise issue (especially when compared to the previous version the AT which got a bit loud as it wore), wear seemed to be good. Only issue is that it is an AT so is a little compromised on road compared to a road tyre. But remembering that, it is an excellent all rounder. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

After one year on AT3 tyres and about 4-5000 miles I'm really pleased with them. No more noise or reduction in comfort compared to previous road biased Pirelli There is no replacement for displacement - W O Bentley

That all sounds really positive for the AT3. I have never had tyres like this so have no reference to work from. Now I have located the cause of the noise coming from the passenger side, and cured that, there is practically no cabin noise and I don't want to spoil that if I can help it. My Pirellis were probably half worn when I got the car and I am not far off the limit now, so have never run it yet on 'New' tyres. Pete

Just to add my ten penny worth, a word of caution if anyone is thinking of Uniroyal Rainsport 3 tyres. I found them great tyres with a low wear rate BUT after about a year or so of trying to find out why the RRS seemed to wander across the road I discovered that it was the tread pattern that was causing the problem. That was after many trips to the 4 wheel alignment place and driving my indie nuts by continually asking them to check and recheck bushes etc. I was on 275 40 20's. Now on Pirelli Scorpion Zero and they have cured the problem. Robin

Yeh! Hence the advantage of the forum. Its not just for moans about poor engineering/build quality or poor dealer performance. You can tap into other peoples experience. It may not be the perfect answer for you but it sure helps guide your path. Robin
