ASPW's analysis of the New Defender: "How can a 4WD score high on on-road ability but low as an off-road vehicle? The Land Rover Defender 2020 is one such 4WD"

in a nutshell He did not get invited to the Namibia launch LR did not give him a long term test vehicle LR did not design a 1950's agricultural tractor to replace the 1948 agricultural tractor His mate Ronny (who he quotes) in his own Defender review test was totally clueless about TR (yet he thinks he is the benchmark) TFL are racking up clicks, so keep pushing the story of their "new defender" problems as often as they can Lets say he may be slightly Toyota leaning ![]() MY20 Defender 110 SE P400 Eiger/Ebony MY10 3.0 RRS TDv6 Fuji/Ebony/Anigre |

It has done quite a few K's off the tarmac and in the wilds of Australia .. such as Cape York etc. It is pretty well protected, in addition to the Bull bar, winch, RAI, it has rock sliders, step out bars, full under body protection.. i went with the e-diff option when i purchased it new, so it is also extremely capable It now shares the garage with our new Deffer which we optioned TR2 and the rear diff, that will be doing a complete tour of Oz from around May/June next year ![]() MY20 Defender 110 SE P400 Eiger/Ebony MY10 3.0 RRS TDv6 Fuji/Ebony/Anigre |

itd be cool if someone did an Apples to Apples comparision. Ie took an old defender. took a new defender. went to some random inaccessible place in the world to see how they'd fair. |

It would be cool. Both would need to be "factory standard", however, for it to be fair.
