you can remove the brass filter or better still drill a hole through the centre... |

I've the same problem. Would you mind letting me know if the replacement part solves the issue before I decide whether to drill a hole? Thanks |

@Rainboy. Really sorry for the delayed reply. Just occurred to me I think you're the same guy on the L494 Facebook page, we got some top advice from Ian Adam.

Over the years my RRS has done a similar thing. Sometimes (but not all the time) putting it into access mode produces a Suspension Fault warning and it stays where it is. I will still pump up to Off Road mode and back down to standard, no problem.

It could be Robin. However, I had this problem and for me it was my offside front strut preventing the vehicle from lowering to access mode.

I can't speak for the filter change as, in the end, I had the whole compressor replaced (£500). The indie guys showed me the old compressor and you could see the desiccant had got through the filter and was all over the place. I don't believe its a difficult job for your indie as the compressor is quite accessible. As Rainboy says, it was a 10 minute job. Best to give your indie a ring and ask. Robin

Kitchenfitter, the filter is probably around £10 noe, when I purchased one around 2.5 years ago it was £8 delivered. This is the filter & the 3rd pic is the filter after I drilled a hole through the middle, the new filters come drilled so I’m guessing LR have had problems & started fitting them with holes down the middle.

I'm going back many, many years to my days on the factory shop floor, but that looks to me more like an 'exhaust' rather than a filter.
