Col,ive hardwired it into the RS the correct way but it’s flattening the battery over night,if I disconnect the yellow wire will the cam still work, but only when car is running/ignition on. Andy.

Andy, No not if you just disconnect it, If I remember right you will have to connect it to a Aux/Ign. as well then it will switch on and off with ignition, surprised it flattens the battery though, never had that problem, what setting have you got the power save feature set to?

I’ve got the power setting to highest 12.4 volts I think,I’ve never had problems with the one in the sport. So I need both wires to the ignition live.?

Yeah, that way it should be just the same as if you were plugging it into a cigarette power socket. Strange that never had battery go flat at all.

The car hasn’t been used much before I bought it so it could be the battery that either needs a good charge or it could be kerput.I took it for a good run yesterday but I don’t know how these new batteries charge,I put my Sealey battery charger/booster starter (old one must be over 30 years old) On it last week but the lad who fitted the ghost immobiliser said that old charger is no good for today’s batteries so it looks like I need to invest in a new one. Andy.

Car started this morning so its not the battery,as I disconnected dash cam last night, the dashcam im using has been in a drawer for over 12 month, the one in the sport is still in it so you could be right it could be the dashcam faulty. Andy.
