Loud pop then suspension standard position only.

As the title says I had a loud noise like a HGV releasing its air brakes and now I have no adjustment at all can anyone help. Its sat at regular ride hight just now but need to get it sorted before it goes down. Had a quick look cant see any burts pipe.

My old red edition did exactly the same after I’d towed the caravan for the first time,It popped a pipe out off the compressor & just needed pushing back in again.mine kept at the standard Ride height.Take the cover off the compressor & check the pipes.
It probably wasn’t pushed in right from the factory & with towing the van For the first time it could have put pressure on the pipe/coupling & caused it to come out . Andy.

Took it to a dealers today as it was booked in for a new prop fitting. I told him about the suspension issue and asked if he would take a look and give me a quote. Without even looking at the car he pronounced the pump had gone and the bang would be a hole in the tank and that all in it would be £1000. He went on to tell me this was caused by a faulty exhaust valve.

Do you think I should get a second opinion or rely on his powers of telepathy.

Anybody know somewhere I can take it where they actually look at the car before telling you its a £1000 in the Sheffield area

another update now that the suspension has dropped a little when you turn the engine on you can feel the pump running if your hand on it. It runs for around 30 seconds stops for about 5 seconds then runs for another 30 seconds then errors on dash and stops pumping. The pump is not getting hot and its running fast and sounds like its not under load. open to any sugestions what to do next.

Get a second opinion.

The compressor has gone and the bang is related to the tank popping? Sounds like a bit of a coincidence!

Have you checked the airlines to make sure they are all seated properly? Kev
