Not sure if this is relevant for your car, but similar issues on my truck and the cure was lubricating the lower steering coloum universal joint, initially with WD40, then when it was deemed to be the 'problem' heavier lubricating oil. |

Hi Dave B I had a look at the bottom uj joint on the column this morning and it looked a bit dry so sprayed with wd40 and it has helped a great deal so I will take it off and give it a good bit of lube
