On my L320 I have 275/40 from new. 255/55 are not the correct size for a 20 inch wheel are they? L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

Aren't 255/55 tyres the L494 size on 20s so the tyres are correct for the wheel as I understand it.

Same here. I assume he talking about traction control and I'm leaning towards different tyres and/or tread wear which is resulting in the system kicking in. This has nothing to do with the particular profile of the tyre he is running as we know it happens on the standard 275/40/20 tyres also.

Hi all sorry no to have been more clear the light on the dash is for the dsc it feels like the passenger side break is coming on the wheels are 20 inch original landrover whith 255/55r20 pirelli scorpion on all brand new thay have a larger rolling circumference which I assume is causing the problem but don't understand why when it appears other people are using them car drives fine on its original 20 inch wheels with 275 40 R20 on but they are on the last legs and these new wheels would have been a great upgrade any thoughts by traffic Islands I mean roundabouts many thanks all |

As long as the rolling radius is equal on all four corners, is shouldn't make any difference. It certainly is a weird one.

Firstly the wheels will be fine as long as they are correctly load rated,,

Be worth checking the ABS sensors and their wires. Maybe one has been dislodged when the wheels were changed. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

you may of course have a lead foot - the nearside is the side that loads up most when going through a roundabout (Island in the midlands)

Hi all firstly what is CCF update as mentioned in last post secondly new wheels that I would like to keep 8 and a half J old ones are nine and a half J could I fit a tyre on new wheels that would give me same rolling radius as old ones new wheels are in 1/2 J 20 inch old ones are 9 and 1/2 J20 in Old tyres 275 40 R20 and drive fine but are really shabby new wheels are are perfect never dreamt this would be such a complicated issue |

Car Config File but I'd be pretty certain the problem is nothing to do with your wheels and tyres.

Def not right foot only on a test run and going real slow if mechanical why is it ok whith original wheels on really confusing does the car config file effect dynamic stability control if I fit tyres that are 255/45/r20 that would be almost same rolling circumference as the original275/40r20 do you think that would work many thanks all |
